Lytro camera lets you focus photos after you take them

Click on the picture to change the focus point.

The camera’s plenoptic sensor collects directional data that allows software to recognize when objects are on different planes. That means you can change the focal point of the photo even after you’re done shooting. You can also peek “behind” edges of objects in the foreground.

It’s not commercially available yet, but the Lytro’s creator, Ren Ng, says he wants to release a consumer version later this year. Website.

Na jaren van nostalgisch gemijmer kun je binnenkort weer de bink spelen met je nieuwe Commodore 64. Het originele design blijft intact, maar binnenin zit een 1.8GHz Intel processor, 4GB Ram, DVD/Bluray speler, card reader en USB poorten. Uiteraard kun je er de oude 8-bit spelletjes mee spelen.
